World Famous Chili

  1. Heat 1/4C vegetable oil in medium (5-8 Qt) pot over medium heat
  2. Add 1 TBSP minced garlic and 1/4 Cup finely minced White onion
  3. When onions are clear and garlic is browned add 2 lb ground beef
  4. Cook beef, stirring regularly until browned
  5. Add 1.5 TBSP of mustard and mix throughly
  6. Add 24 OZ strained, peeled or diced tomatoes
  7. Reduce heat to simmer, cover for 10 minutes
  8. Add 4 TBSP Worcestershire and 1 TBSP Molasses mixing well
  9. Cover for 5 minutes
  10. Sprinkle 2 TBSP Chili Powder and 2 TBSP Oregano to top of liquid, DO NOT MIX IN
  11. Cover for 10 minutes
  12. Once Chili Powder and Oregano form a dark brown crust on top, mix well
  13. Add 3/4 TBSP salt and 1TSP Black Pepper mixing well
  14. Simmer at least 15 minutes or until serving.
  15. Top with healthy portion of freshly grated cheddar cheese before serving
